NORDAS G 5
| Product
description NORDAS G 5 is a cement based thin-set adhesive with high polymer modification to be used for thin-set laying tiles, mosaic and slabs indoor and outdoor, at walls and on floors. NORDAS G 5 is suitable for laying tiles up to porcelaine stoneware quality, ceramic slabs and formparts, non-dyeing natural stoneslabs, concrete slabs and big size tiles, on dragged and isolated gypsum based plaster, on isolated gypsum based wall boards or cement covered boards. Using NORDAS G 5 on heated grounds is possible but depends on the used covering and on the object use. By the combination of high adhesive force and long laying time NORDAS G 5 is prefarably interesting for objects big floor areas and changing traffic loads. |

| 1. | NORDAS G 5
is
to be mixed with clear water in a clean bin until it has become a flexible
smooth mortarpaste, after ripening mix once more. Mixing ratio: 25 kg NORDAS G 5 : 7,0 litres water Ripening time: approx. 3 minutes Working time: approx. 3 - 4 hours, temperature depending Laying time: < 30 minutes Correction time: max. 10 minutes Hardening: walkable / groutable after approx. 24 hours, full walkable after 3 days, full loadable after 14 - 28 days depending on the temperature and object Storage time: closed bag, dry and frost free approx. 1 year. |
||
| 2. | Grounds
must be clean and form resistant. Remove
all loose plaster, oil coatings, colourspots and any other
adhesive-reducing components from the surface, uneven patches shall be
levelled out by plastering with NORDAS G 5
in advance. The moisture content inside concrete floors or concrete plasters shall not be over 2%, concrete screed shall be 28 days old minimum. Gypsum plaster and gypsum containing components like wall-boards shall be isolated with a suitable covering. A good adhesive bridge will be reached when the moisture content inside the gypsum plaster is below 0,5%. |
||
| 3. | NORDAS G 5 adhesive shall be applied first smooth to get a contact layer, then comb from bottom to top by using a notch trowel. The tiles shall be pressed to the mortar with slight side force to get a full adhesive contact over the whole tileīs backside. Outdoor and floor coverings having bigger bumps on their backside must be buttered with NORDAS G 5 on their back in addition (Buttering/Floating-Combination). Tile position can be corrected max. 10 minutes after setting. | ||

|||
| 4. | Before
tile setting works at wall-boards, the boards must be checked if correct
and stable fixed to the ground. In dependence of the boardīs material it
might be possible that the board needs a suitable ahesive covering (e.g.
paintable) in advance.
For
the installation of temperature insulating wall-boards and the like the
mortar shall be applied to the boardīs backside in lines or spots.

||
| 5. | Powder
coatings on the back of vitreous tiles / porcelaine stoneware tiles must be
removed! After application
works on reinforced decoupling mattings an extended waiting time is
neccessary until the joints can be filled. |
